Tom Cairns
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Tom Cairns serves as a Pastor/Elder at Hillside Baptist Church. He earned his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and has served in a variety of pastoral and ministry roles over the years.
Tom and his wife, June, served for seven years as home missionaries with the Southern Baptist Convention in Rochester, New York, where Tom worked closely with a network of small churches. He later pastored Holy Trinity Baptist Church in downtown Philadelphia for ten years.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Tom served for nineteen years with the Philadelphia Police Department, including fifteen years as a Sergeant and street supervisor in South Philadelphia. Following his retirement from law enforcement, Tom and June moved to Concord, New Hampshire in 2019 and began seeking opportunities to serve the Lord in ministry.
They began attending Hillside Baptist Church and became members in October 2022. Tom later served the congregation as Interim Pastor during a season of transition, helping to provide stability, pastoral care, and faithful preaching. He continues to serve Hillside with gratitude and a desire to see the church grow in spiritual maturity and faithful witness to Christ.
